You are wrong again Peter75 about good trading practiceDon't blame others when a stock like CRH went down 35% (last cycle) by saying they spooked because they want you cheap shares. It is so ignorant. CRH was so oversold at that time and technical trading took over naturally which the market always do in such situations. It can happen to any stock for that matter and I see it all in my over thirty years trading experience.
I know posters with TA knowledge will happily take advantage of it. I may not exit at the exact top but will be close enough and gladly re-enter at a lower price which I am comfortable using TA. As long as the stock, like CRH, is fundamentally sound experienced traders will keep repeating this activity whole heartedly for more profits than just being a sole buy and hold investor. So far I have more shares and cash than when I started trading CRH. Am I miserable? Absolutely not.
You, Peter75, bfw and some other posters here are one trick pony that always criticize sellers with your naive (so called) 'interpretation '. You posts always claim the 'hold it forever' is the only way to play CRH. I am sorry to point out it only shows, instead, your lack of knowledge of other means of successful play to this stock.
But don't get me wrong as I respect others' way of investing that is different from mine. And I don't need to talk to my 'broker' to learn it. However, you may turn to your 'broker' to verify, as you said in your post that you do for information.
We are all here with one thing in mind - to make money. So good luck to your 'buy and hold forever'.
