RE:Shorts vs buy-outThey buy it back at the higher price and lose money. Unless it was a hedge against warrants, then they are just offsetting positions. As far as mining companies go, we are a bit early for a typical buyout. BFS is needed. I wouldn't put a buyout as a likely scenario any time soon, but it isn't a typical mine, so could find atypical buyers.
