Risky...I sold.
The release says says non-binding intent to buy. Now the prospective buyer will review the mortgages and if they see something funny they will pull out if the deal. That is a huge risk and in my opinion is a high probability that it falls apart given the allegations against it.
Also even if they sell the portfolio they will only get a portion of the value. Not dollar for dollar. Again, how much may be less than what they would get on a normal situation - another negative that the market may not be considerig fully.
