Large trades don't move the price

It amazes me that a morning trade of 500 shares can move the price, yet a volume of a million-plus shares leaves the price unchanged (today - volume is huge but the price sits at .75 e.g.

A few mins ago I saw about 423 lots bid against fewer than 100 asks. A minute or so later all that trading had een soaked up with no price move (.75, with a spread of .75/.76

The whole thing seems so utterly managed as though a cnductor were controlling a symphony.
