U.S. Trading, etc.

U.S. Trading, etc.
Canada's markets are closed tomorrow (Monday) but the U.S. remains open
The stock trades as GAPFF in the U.S.
Looking at the GAPFF chart, I note that there are clues to a possible bottom here...
a volume of only 16.6 K on Friday 5/19/17 (and that with an open gap on the U.S. chart)
contrasted with a large volume of 406.5K on the initial panic day of 5/11/17.  In other words, selling dried up in the American market.  Perhaps a more realistic view from next door., although this would be the retail crowd, I assume.
In Canada, the volume pattern was quite different, of course. Friday volume was very high, with a selling climax a possibility.  I assume a lot of you bought in on  Friday and many panicked out of it, too.
So tomorrow it will be interesting to watch how it trades in the U.S.,  if indeed there is interest from what are probably smaller U.S. buyers are interested in  getting in on this situation.  A small tell, maybe. If volume does increase on GAPFF, it could be bigger interesets positioning ahead of Tuesday.

On another note, I see that AC does not plan to incorporate retail purchases into its "new card"..well I think that will leave a lot (millions) of prospective customers (casual travellers like me and not the elite corporate fliers) out in the cold. I count on a lot of retail points to get my AEROPLAN points total up.  So the new AC card wouldn't mean much to me and probably a lot of others.    Why re-invent the wheel.

I want to say something else to AC directly...as far as I have seen, there hasn't been a lot of vitriol aimed your way about this issue...you see,  people are mostly reasonable and waiting for both parties to reach an amicable solution.  Everybody involved here should want to avoid an AirMiles type fiasco..where goodwill was probably been damaged a great deal and may not come back  (I don't bother with Air Miles much anymore  after I had to cash in a lot of points for items I didn't really want when they said my thousands of points were going to expire)    A good lesson in corporate etiquette.
It takes a long time to build goodwill, but you can lose it in a heartbeat.   Just sayin'.
