EIAJust looked at the EIA spreadsheet - on Mar 31 we had 535.5M barrels of crude, June 2 we had 513.2, so a net drawdawn of 22.3M barrels in 9 weeks. And this includes 7M absorbed from SPR, so really the draw is 30M.
In the same 9 week period last year, we had a 3M BUILD.
In Cushing the net draw for this period was 6M barrels this year and no change last year.
Also the SPR sales are done fir 2017 since it was announced that they would sell 10M barrels this year, and we have now reached 10 year to date. This week we got screwed over by the media reporting a 3.3M build when it was really only 1.6 (excluding the SPR release)
