RE:RE:NutallIs this story really true? Sorry to ask but it sounds as if you are mocking a r worst case scenario whcih could actually be real. Gamblers end up where you are.
Whether it's fiction or true, you should do a youtube documentary and post it. It would be beneficial to you to understand your journey and you might find others who have overextended themselves. I see the MTL person mention he was wiped out on margin. Don't trade if you don't know how to. I've observed many good traders and follow a few here but even the better ones seem to wipe out at times and you never see portfolios. Just a lot of peacocking.
I really hope nobody has that much debt for the markets.
Imagine if oil does not recover. The traders and hedge funds have absolutely no problem with $40 or $30 oil. Consumers have no problems. Governments who aren't tied to oil have no problems. Canada hates oil and is enough diversitied to keep its oil in the ground. I am amazed the NDP government in Alberta is pro-oil - they looked at the books and went "oh oh" so Alberta is in rough shape but Ontario and BC compesensate. Canada is nice that way, we take turns at being the leading provinces. Alberta pulled its weight years ago.
If I was holding here, I would not sell, I would look for an entry point to add. But in your case, if this is true, sell as soon as you can. Get out and don't come back until you know what you are doing.
You are fortunate enough to have the daddy piggy bank but you need to stop draining that. At one point, your dad will have to show you "hard love" and he should have done it a long time ago. If you want, send me a message with his information and I can assist him. He appears to not undetstand the stock markets and you need more guidance.
