RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Is AIM still in talking with AC?

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Is AIM still in talking with AC?Mechang wasn't talking about AA he was saying Air Canada is regarded as being better than all American carriers. Your fiances job with Sunwing is exactly that.... a job... not a career... it's just a
fringe player in the airline industry , and can't even be considered an airline... it's a holidays charter company...

quote=BigMoneyNoWham]You are an dope, I know plenty of people who are with different airlines,

as well as my fiance works for one of the damn airlines.  And she has heard coversations about this exact company.
Sorry you dont have the inside track, sucks for you.  They would choose Air Canada or American airlines lol what a dope.  American is another one people can't stand, you are so clueless and butt blind is hysterical thanks for the entertainment of your intelligencel.  Just gave me a good laugh.

mecheng wrote: I'm pretty sure the OP to the message was talking about talks of the deal. which i referenced was done, dumba55. AC is one of the best airlines in NA, if not the best.  people will choose to book AC over any other canadian / american airlines if they had a choice.  Quite a clueless one are you?

mecheng wrote: No. they're not still talking with AC. what's done is done and has been more than factored into the SP. they're working on new partnerships. without AC, aeroplan still has US airlines as well as european and middle eastern partners.  their business is still going to be profitable for at least 3 more years (when AC officially leaves the partnership). A string of bad news recently but market over reaction? definitely yes. I bought a boat load at $1.50. we'll see what happens in 6 months.

The fact you say no they are not still talking with Air Canada shows how clueless you are.
Buisness with go on as normal for at least 3 years.  How will Aimia do business with Air Canada without some form of conversaton?  Yea not gonna happen wake up kid.
Just as Air Canada did before with negotioans, they will play hard ball and make bad decions as they always have.

Air Canada managment is a bunch of idiots, they think they are superior because they have a big fleet.  They feel they should be treated as kings and queens.  Simply put Air Canada is strong arming Aimia for better posisiton, that's all.  A new deal will most likely be negotiated Air Canada with create a mess with thier own program and they know that.

Rather than doing all the extra work and hiring new people etc, they will have someone else do it for them and just rake in the cash.  They are not about to cause themselves more expense, but again Air Canada are idiots so if they decide to contiune with own loyalty program they will only be causing themselves a lot more work, more cash out the door for new employees, more time spent on make this program work.

The termination of contract was only a FORMAL one, it will probably just be torn up later and a new deal put in place or Aimia will have new partner(s).
Either way Aimia is fine with westjet, sunwing who ever.  My fiance works for Sunwing, she as already heard some intersting conversations which I would tell in detail.
Lucky I met the right woman for this situation as well as 50-60% off on vacations ;) :P
But Aimia is gonna be fine, Air Canada is just maing more mistakes with their decion making.
As they always do it's quite pathetic, not many people want to fly Air Canada anymore.
My Fiance knows a few of Air Canada employees and they hate the company it's a joke too many.
