I am not convinced that Cobalt actually dropped Wednesday.  The news was the opposite:

"Low-grade cobalt prices rose on Wednesday August 2, with suppliers reporting tight supply and frequent enquiries, leading to strong sales volumes."  (This came out early Thursday).

I think there was a glitch on lme.com, that percolated to infomine.com I'm guessing.   A person on the ECS board has access and reports Cobalt prices daily at 7:00CST (lme comes out at 8:30CST), and he reported no change Wed. Combine that with the news articles like the one above, and the fact that it immediately returned to normal levels...  I think there was an glitch.  

It happens.  I once saw my stock go from .40 cents to  $19.00 overnight, lol.  Curiously... no buyers  ;^).
