Question about Crystalball, Dante, etc. I've ignored Crystalball52 and DantesInferno (possibly the same person?). I'm writing this post because I can't for the life of me understand what this person's true motivation could be. Perhaps someone who has seen something like this before can help?
I'd like to understand what possible motivation drives a person(s) to consistently attack a stock and try to pull it down. This happens 24x7 - that's insanity in my mind!
The way I figure it, this person(s) has to be one of the following:
1) Someone making money by shorting the stock (in which case, the lower it falls, the greater the profit).
2) Someone day trading the stock (in which case increased volatility allows for more day trades).
3) Paid bashers - I don't think this is likely. Competitors don't seem to be as refined as Dyna and I doubt they have the resources to actually employ someone to do this fulltime.
4) Someone who wants to add to their position at as low a rate as possible. Again, unlikely as this seems to be a failing strategy owing to the fact that news is expected and trying to catch up with a rapidly rising SP would be costlier than waiting for it to fall further.
5) Someone who has genuinely been burned by Dyna. This still doesn't make sense to me though - even if you purchased at a high rate, wouldn't you want to see the SP rising and not falling?
What do the others think?
