RE:re--jobs
RE:re--jobsMany of us understand poverty. Get out and make work. Started very young....child labor entrepreneur...no laughing matter. Gave me the hard...very hard knocks to break the terrible poverty I felt. It would have been easy to slip into crime....did the petty shop lifting stuff part time until I found longer hour jobs. No idle time meant no time for crime and I began to grow up....I'm talking age 11 or so. I watched a show about Baltimore. A reporter was interviewing a group of black men. They all wanted work. Of the group only a couple had minimum paying jobs. They were sad about the low pay low benefits but we're proud. Brought tears to my eyes. The other lads who looked tough and likely were and /or could be said they where born to sell drugs. They had little opportunity....no opportunity and felt hopeless. All wanted jobs. They were trapped by circumstances. I say that because it cost money to move or travel elsewhere. They also need factories that went to cheap labour countries. The laws allowed for that crime. The knowledge and time and effort taken to be given away in one generation is deplorable. Getting back to Baltimore...I went there for a visit. Never met such a fine group of people. The druggies....not so much. Hopefully Trump WILL HELP THE INNER CITIES....the ones forgotten.
