Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

RE:RE:RE:What if this happened!! $$$True. But somehow, I just can't see Blue and Tim sitting at an AGM together. Lol The pepsi/ coke example you used was a good one. Nike and Reebok. Etc etc. 2 giant powerhouses in the same sector rarely merge to join forces. But you're right, you can never say never. In terms of aquisitions, i don't see APH making one in the Canadian landscape. I do however see ACB taking someone pretty big out as they don't seem to have a problem with a little (or a lot) of dilution.

Green,

all do respect, you are using emotion to justify a merger or non-merger scenario. Business is business and you can never say never regarding potentials in a new industry such as this. The rivalry between the two CEO's unfortunately trickle down to front line workers and investor forums such as this. Shith ouse is no exception and a good example of the rivalry. Unfortunately, this doesn't help the industry especially when it is faced with big monster entities like big pharma, big tobacco and big alcohol within 24 months. I personally would be thrilled to see a merger of giants. With Aphria medical direction and Canopy rec direction, it would be a force to be reckoned with and certainly harder to manipulate by the big money lobbyists.

Pepsi and Coke for a century........probably

howver, you can never say never.......the industry is a new born baby just learning to crawl

I think both CEOs would rather go bankrupt than share a seat in a board room together. Lol What is a possibility though is an acquisition made by an outside entity (big pharma, tobacco, etc) that comes in and sweeps up both of them. I think we're still a year or 2 away from any sort of acquisition of that magnitude to be made from an outside sector source.

So just for the fun of it...here's an interesting scenario to consider. What if canopy and aphria merged and totally dominated the worldwide marijuana industry. For the next 5 years at least, no one could possibly touch them, probably guaranteeing a buyout and making everybody rich on these boards....but the fun thing would be that all these characters on these boards would suddenly be on the same team...now that would be entertaining!
