Commercial Samples End September, Financing later Guy said in his most recent interview that potential lenders want to see the delivery of commercial samples first. He also said that delivery of commercial samples would happen at the end of September. If the commercial samples are shipped at the end of September, it will (hopefully) take a couple of months to finalize the financing. I'm thinking Novemember despite his earlier promise of September.
"Lenders have indicated that they would like to see initial production of lithium hydroxide from Whabouchi concentrate being sent to customers from the Phase 1 Plant that we are on target to deliver in September." - https://www.mining.com/web/critical-qa-nemaska-lithium-ceo-guy-bourassa/
"The goal is to begin delivering samples to potential clients at the end of September"-https://www.nemaskalithium.com/en/investors/press-releases/2017/00845aaf-a4a7-42f7-95f4-efb2b323b5fe/
Unless we're getting news of commercial samples tomorrow, I doubt financing will take place at the end of september (maybe that was what the MOC was about?).
ALSO as much as Guy keeps saying we're fully permitted, it is still an ongoing process, from that same interview above he stated:
"We are fully permitted and funded for the Phase 1 Plant and the commercial plant permitting is on-going and I don't see anything to hinder this process given our Phase 1 Plant is currently operational, using the same process as the commercial facility. The General Certificate of Authorization at the mine site is the overriding permit needed for construction and operations, and the other permits are filed as needed."
What are the other permits are filed? is that same as approved? It seems that he's saying "we have the permits but we don't have ALL the permits but we have the permits." I mention this because these could be potential hiccups.
I'm invested in this long and I want to have an earnest discussion about the realities of bringing this mining operation online.
