RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Hope the company can keep goingWell if you are in possession of facts then please enlighten us. As someone pointed out, this is our money at stake. Other than facts, we are entitled to our opinions. If you don't agree then feel free to add yours, but at least try to be constructive.
This is what was quoted from Eva:
Nous sommes dus du fait que nos employs aient rejet une offre raisonnable. Notre offre prvoyait des amliorations au rgime de retraite, une retraite htive pour prs de 100 employs dans les cinq prochaines annes, en plus d'augmentations de salaire», a-t-elle indiqu par voie de communiqu.
Early retirement or buy-out, what's the difference? It seems the same to me.The question is whether they will be replaced, and if so by who? If union members leave and are replaced by management types (of which there are clearly a lot if they can run the place at 50%), then the union suffers a slow death, and they will do what they can to stop that now.
Someone asked who is on the side of the shareholder? It should be the company, but sadly they are not helping us. This strike will get resolved just about the time zinc prices collapse as we enter the next recession, looks like, unless Glencore steps up to the plate. Clearly Gencore has the wherewithal to settle this thing if they want to. If people can accuse the union of playing games, then it is fair game to accuse Glencore of the same. They can't hide behind the skirts of CEZ - Glencore is the one calling the tunes here.
