Cachimbo II?The new targets that were announced last month are about 1.5 km east and 1.5km south of the Cachimbo VMS discovery. Bill Fisher expects drilling to commence there next month. If there is to be another pearl in the string, perhaps it is target #6, thought to be a volganogenic plume from a vent.
In the meantime, the real potential of Cachimbo itself has yet to be revealed. The geometry is complex, apparently. At some point, given enough holes, we are bound to find the feeder vent--it simply has to be there somewhere. Once found, I expect a systematic step-out drill program will provide plenty of cheer for we beleagered investors.
