Its Central District operation is located in East Central Alberta, which is focused on producing oil from multiple, large OOIP pools. "They" are generally not humans.  "They" are increasingly algorithms that scrape news and heavily uses technical indicators to determine whether to buy or sell.

It appears the short ratio is increasing because the algorithms are predicting more downsides.

I've been following some traders and have increase my technical analysis level.  Although $4.70 appears to be a bargain for Cardinal, we might see the stock pullback to between $4.20-4.30.

I will I was an expert enough to wait for these prices but I'm not so I won't risk it.  I'm a buyer here, not a seller.  Short term, it might hurt, but long term, $50 oil minumum is pretty much assured and all indications points to higher than $60 oil.

The whole commodity sector hasn't shaken the bears yet, that wil come in early 2018.
