Yes ; let's seriously look at the european fighters, not because we want to snub our american neighbors, but simply as a common sense move; we could save a lot of money.

They might not be as sophisticated as the american jets, but as long as they fulfill NATO's basic requirements, we will have met our obligations.

If we buy what we need instead of what would be ''nice to have'', we will be able to deal with more companies and we will be able to have better leverage.

Other countries, members of NATO, fly european jets presently; why can't we?
