RE:SCTR observations for BTE at year end

RE:SCTR observations for BTE at year endThank you.  I must say I am very nervous when it comes to Baytex because of my bad experience as it crashed from the $40,  I averaged down several times, when big at just under $3 and sold all at $4 when some traders were also selling when the RSI was above 70.  Since then, I've become more comfortable "reading the charts" mostly the daily and weekly period which are free.

I'm now mostly in CJ.TO for my oil holdings because it pays a fat 9% dividend which is what attracted to be BTE years ago in the first place.

I've started returning to BTE but unlike CJ, it's a short term timeframe.  BTE does very well when it goes up, better than any other oil stock and does very well for shorts on the way down.  Since I have no intention of short selling, I would rather move long somewhere else when BTE goes down.

Thanks for sharing your technical indicators.  You are right the SCTR looks bullish for BTE.  So does the Parabolic SAR and OBV which is two I use since they work very well on BTE.  I've now overlayed the Ichimoku Cloud but I'll have to do some reading on that one.  Still getting a handle on Bollinger Bands which appear to be popular but don't seem to tell me anything for BTE? I wonder whether it's because BTE is manipulated for the buyout as some have indicated here?
