Can anyone explain the Dec 21st settlement?

Can anyone explain the Dec 21st settlement?

According to this plan it says that the insurance companies will pay 36.5 mil$ to settle the claims. Out of this money, only 29.5 will be paid to Class claims and estate claims. Does anyone know how many outstanding shares there were? I found approx 81 mil shares - can somebody confirm that? Will those (29.5 - lawyers fees) be divided by 81?

Another question - does this means that, following this settlement, Siskind can re-ignite the process against KPMG? That should be more interesting that this paltry payment.

Thanks in advance!
