Not saying GSV is in play, but here's good for thoughtIt appears some entity was establishing a position in GSV yesterday. The day Zach's issued a sell rating. Many entities already have positions in GSV. One is Oceana with 15.8%,. Another is Gold Corp with 9.9%. Morningstar lists many others.
GSV's presentation says institutions own 49%, with Oceana & GoldCorp on top of that. Insiders own 8%. The point is, a lot of GSV is not in the public's hands. GSV's presentation says it is 17%.
What's this have to do with NUG? Well, They are often compared as two of Nevada's promising explorers, both with significant stakes by Oceana, as well as other miners & funds.
There are areas where GSV & NUG don't compare. One is enterprise value. It is $44.8 for NUG, versus $505.9 million for GSV. Highlander makes a point about unrecognized value.
It isn't out of the question that someone could make a run at GSV. Someone like Oceana, GoldCorp, Newmont, or Barrick. I suppose it is a question of when, not if. When that happens what do you think will happen to NUG shares?
Correct.
