RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Aurora Sky Facility - I TOLD YOU SO!Trying to compare companies based on market cap for #1 or whatever metric is used to compare the #1 vs #2 etc is trivial in my mind. Even looking at the number of patients a company has listed is also trivial at this point.
We are about to allow recreational MJ in Canada....the number of patients you have when this happens is going to be peanuts. The only thing about having patients is going to hopefully be brand loyalty at most. And that they are a guarunteed source of profits...but again this will change drastically. Look at Big Pharma, they are losing many profits right now to generic drugs that are on the market. They are forced to have "compensation" cards to patients that say they will agree to allow the patient to get the brand name drug at the price of the generic and the company picks up the tab. This is only to start creating more focus back on the brands.
So again, things will certianly change in my view and the number of patients you have won't be a major difference at all.
Brand awareness, and how you diversify yourself will be the difference makers. Look at Samsung vs Apple or Google vs Yahoo. They all have arguably similar targets but they have diversified and differentiated themselves to become leaders in their areas. So using that as an example, I think it is safe to say the same rules will be applied here as well or at the very least to some degree.
