GreenNewb - I wouldn't correlate it to the end of January as much as if you look back we experience a pattern like this every January at some point market wide. Right now investors are "spooked" if you will with a interest rate decision from the US Federal Reserve on Wednesday. Why I expect a market bounce back into February is based more on us moving into earning season, where the heavyweights announce their year end earnings which can certainly drive the whole market with positive results. Today is more about investor sentiment on the whole over any one sector or company. Having said that, I expect a recovery into the afternoon, with the low of the day being between 10-11am.
