Exxon Mobil, bad results, falling production, including Imperial Oil. XOM, buys nat gas producer Range Resources a few years ago. XOM, announced a 60B budget for the Permian Basin, to get their production up to 600,000 boe/d in Permian.
ALA worried about counterparty risk with Pony - wants new ownership (opinion, not fact). Western Canada Basin is tilted to nat gas, Imperial a long term player, Pony has long term reserve life index, matches Imperial Oil longevity.
Imperial can buy Pony for chunk change, refinance debt way lower. All adds up to buying PONY, IMO.
IF your theory had any chance the stock would be acting better . The big boys are looking 6 months into the future and seeing headlines likes "Pony loses..." "Pony cuts..." "Bank lines...." "Aeco prices...."
It's amazing the longs on this board that think all their "bullish theories" are unknown...they are well knows, everyone knows, .....all the big funds know.... yet..
