It was a horrendous deal! They keep using the excuse they wanted to do it for years and years and then the deal finally presented itself. IT WAS AND IS PLAIN TO SEE how bad the supply/demand situation was at the time of the deal. They could have waited to see about LNG as both PONY & UGR equity would have risen with a positive FID. Instead they diluted by 60% and GOT STUCK with a massive resource that is currently uneconomical. Sure 5-10 years from now the deal might pay off; but current shareholders got the SHAFT , and MGMT of both UGR and PONY are getting rewarded big time. Especially ALA as they are getting paid no matter what. That is why the fund manager ripped them in the media. IF anyone should have had an idea of the nat gas landscape in Canada; you would think it would be mgmt. Terrible..... he should get canned
