The countdown clock

The countdown clockHonest question, is the countdown simply for when the new sections of the website will be ready? There's been speculation about a full launch etc., but I can't imagine the Platform will launch on Wednesday when there seems to be a lot that still needs to happen prior to.
I appreciate any and all comments, except for Smallears of course.
