RE:I'm a new man after that callGrim: Thanks for the update on the call and glad to hear your optimism, given that you have been in this for a long time.
Interesting remark about having a strategic partner already in country. FCX has always been the logical one. Just a question of when they pull the trigger as they can let NSU do the heavy lifting until they want to step in, but balancing that against NSU's stock price and the risk the longer the wait the more it increases (although that hasn't been the case of late).
FCX has spent the last few years cleaning up its balance sheet after leveraging itself too heavily to go into oil, when the price was at its peak. They have reduced LTD from almost $20b at YE15 to less than $12b at YE17, meaning they could now have the fire power to something significant with NSU.
As always, we just need to be patient. But with ony 3m of stock options vs 300m shares outstanding, management really needs to perform to be rewarded.
Similar to you, I have continued to average down on NSU as well as with TGZ (my first purchase was over $5/share!). I am finally back to a positive in NSU and have a nice profit in TGZ.
Another one I have done extremely well with is SAND. They have nicely appreciated since they acquired Hot Maden (which, initially, the market didn't understand as SAND was in a quiet period). If you want a streamer, which I believe has the best potential for growth, look at SAND. Hot Maden is even better than Timok. Another thing I like about SAND is that they do an outstanding job in IR, starting with the CEO.
