ABB, SNC-Lavalin team up with Nouveau Monde Graphite Nouveau Monde Graphite is innovating. The company is announcing today that they worked since last fall with big names like ABB, SNC-Lavalin, DRA and Dopplemayr to study the implementation of the world’s first all-electric open pit mine.
You can rest assure that if big companies like ABB comes out publicly by associating themselves with a graphite junior, it’s a clear indication that an all-electric mine is feasible and will be competitive cost-wise.
An all-electric mine will go a long way in allowing Nouveau Monde Graphite to have the lowest environmental footprint of the graphite industry. They are targeting carbon-neutral operations. This will be a competitive advantage and definitively marketable as graphite end-users are increasingly valuing suppliers with sustainable operations.
