Thanks, Malcolm.  Stumbled across this funny old television comedy recently and cannot believe how prescient it is about Fake News (12:07) and U Fever (19:18).  This classic "I Love Lucy" from 1958 features Fred MacMurray (the future Absent-Minded Prof. Ned Brainerd) as the relecutant prospector AKA "Freddy Bear."  Check it out.
