Strategic PartnerAs I contemplate my earlier post I realize that I'm likely ahead of myself in this process, we only really have proof of concept at this point with no working prototype so likely the strategic investor won't be wafer or semiconductor company this early in the game. It is likely PYR based on the below exert:
Q. Would you invest more into HPQ?
A. Yes, we would consider it if it made sense, but let me be very very clear on this point. PyroGenesis is investing each and every day into HPQ. I have said this before and I will say it again, PyroGenesis does not have time or money to waste on projects that do not have future potential. Each and every day PyroGenesis has to decide where to allocate its resources, the most important of which is its time. Plasma expertise, such as ours, does not grow on trees and we must be very discerning as to where we dedicate this valuable resource. Do we dedicate it to Additive Manufacturing (powders for 3D printers), Drosrite™, other development projects…or HPQ? The profit from the HPQ contract does not in and of itself justify dedicating such scarce resources to the project, the royalty from the success of the project, does.
I contemplated my earlier post and I went back to my reading and the partner will likely be PYR, which speaks volumes for their belief in the technology based on Peter's Q&A. Pierre clearly knows what he's doing and this man has a history of bringing new technologies to fruition. If he and his crew are doing the work and they believe they can achieve it, PYR's further investment speaks volumes. It maybe doesn't have the strategic side I'd like to see, but I'm likely about 12-24 months too early for that type of investment. An industry player is going to want to see 20kg ingots before getting invested.... I suspect Timminco caused a once bitten twice shy scenario in the industry. This means the show me story will involve independent verification prior to the industry getting serious. I'm thinking that the last Purevap results and the last PP are tied to one another and that PYR is going to invest in HPQ.
As always share your thoughts on this. If you go back in my posts I'm wrong pretty much always. I throw out ideas hoping to spur conversation. Time will tell.
