BHS Trip ReportWe took a trip to BHS mine yesterday. You drive through Huntington, Or. Not much to see except a long line of people waiting for a POT SHOP to open. There are 2 Snake River Roads. You want the exit on the left. It is 9 miles to the mine road.4 Miles is gravel..one lane with lots of campers and fisherman traffic..not for the fainthearted. There are many blind curves and no gardails. Look for new power lines going up the mountain and a post with 31690 on it,The mine road has a gate at the bottom. We wereluckey enough to catch the shift change. The first truck out had Clay Conway PHD Senior Geologist. He offered a tour and up the road (steep and bumpy in spots). we went. There is not much flat ground around the mine..lots of equipment to feed the sorter. That is a huge machine.. The buling housing the sorter is also quite large. It is set up to dump the upgraded ore directly in the bags that can hold one tonne (metric). The way I understood Clay is they run the ore through the sorter twice (with a different density setting eace pass) and end up with 400 OZ of silver/tonne or 20 times upgade from 20 OZ headgrade.
They expect to be into higher grades soon. I asked about proving up the resource by drilling. That is planned..when funds are available. There was a good size pile of fines that had been run through a ballmill. They would like to process on site..That depends on the results of the one tonne sample results from MetalUS. There filled bags in different locations..don't know how many as it was a short visit. There was a display in the sorter building with4 camera view and other cams around the site. That is how Mr.G keeps taps on operations.I would expect a sat internet feed somewhere on the property since cell and wifi service are probably not available. I asked where the crews stayed..Ans An old farmhouse BHS rented.
I called Mr.G about 3 weeks ago about a site visit..said they were having equipment problems and would get back to me. He did not..so I called last Monday. He said he was in ameeting and would get back to me.He did not. So I expected a locked gate and no activity at the site.We were very lucky. One opservation..I do not see how they can increase output to 200 T./D with the equipment on site. Clay did say BHS was looking for an additional ore loader..they have 2 at present. Hopes this info helps in understanding where BHS is in the production cycle.CP
