RE:The Talk of the Town
RE:The Talk of the TownTalk of the town for sure: a great deal of buzz at APIC from the Altru announcement.
There will be more ERCP sterilization to come: just listen to one of Getinge's US sales people--Carmen Ferriero III: "We have more customrs who will be following suit (a la Altru) soon enough, still tuned"

My thoughts of some of the leading candidates would be:
- Mayo: Altru partner, VP4 user
- U of Colarodo: buyer of 10+ VP4s--can't see why they won't sterilize ERCPs when they will have so many machines. They are undergoing a lot of construction though, so the infrastructure might not be ready yet
- Mass General: as per their comments on LinkedIn of looking closely into the matter
- Strategic partners like Mount Sinai, U of Rochester, U of South Carolina--VP4 users already, so why wouldn't they take advantage of the new 510k clearance?
- Lehigh Valley Health Network--runs 2 VP4s already and love the product
