Alternate Symbol(s):  ELBM

Electra Battery Materials Corporation is a Canada-based processor of low-carbon, ethically sourced battery materials. The Company is focused on building a supply of cobalt, nickel and recycled battery materials. It is engaged in the business of battery materials refining, including refining material from mining operations and from the recycling of battery scrap and end of life batteries. It owns two main assets: the refinery located in Ontario, Canada and the Iron Creek cobalt-copper project located in Idaho, United States. Its projects include Ontario Refinery, Recycling, Becancour, North American Nickel and Iron Creek. It is in the process of constructing its expanded hydrometallurgical cobalt refinery, assessing the various optimizations and modular growth scenarios for a recycled battery material (known as black mass) program, and exploring and developing its mineral properties. The Iron Creek Project consists of mining patents and exploration claims over an area of 3,300 hectares.

Cobalt News

Cobalt NewsSoon Tesla/Panasonic will be unable to feed the battery factory unless they invest in NA Cobalt mining companies.  The same is the case of Apple, Dell, DeWalt and many others that make products that use lithium batteries.  Otherwise they will continue to buy conflict source Cobalt that is refined and sold to them by China - with China deciding whether or not to sell to them at all.

They would all love to be able to eliminate Cobalt from their batteries, but they also must have stable batteries that have high performance.  In time that may happen, but it will be awhile and the new Cobalt free battery may use some other rare element that is even harder to get.

If FCC can continue to get the capital it needs to move forward, its value as a company could easily increase by a multiple of 10.  The quesition is how to get sufficient capital without diluting the shares.  An off-take agreement is the answer and it is viable by getting the refinery operational for processing FCC ore and other cobalt copany ore.

FCC has a bright future and I believe that it will get there.  Of course that is only my opinion and that and $5.00 will get you a $5.00 lunch at Dairy Queen.
