I think that if they offered $8/share it would go through... Or if there is another side to it. 

They could do a joint purchase with Aeromexico:

$5 from Aeromexico to buy back the 49% they sold off
$5 from AC to by AP

Mittleman would be crazy to not vote in favour. Their purchase price is in the 2$?
