RE:RE:Very quiet on the Southern Front! Blackriver,
Avino just commissioned the 1000 tpd plant expansion Circuit 4 which is processing 1000 tpd of low grade silver stockpiles grading 47 g/t silver, 0.3 g/t gold, and 0.14 percent copper. Add 40,000 ounces of silver from Circuit 4 to Avino's 177,000 ounces of silver production, and the silver production is 10,000 ounces more than Galena's 207,000 oz silver production.
Avino's San Gonzalo mine produced 105,000 ounces of silver which is about 10,000 ounces more than San Rafael produced. So both companies produced roughly the same amount of silver.
In terms of by product metals, Avino had 3500 ounces of gold equivalent in copper and 1734 ounces of gold, and that equals Americas Silver lead production in terms of gold equivalent value.
So the difference between the two silver producers is that San Rafael produces about 9500 ounces of gold equivalent in zinc, and that is roughly equal to Avino's entire metal production. So right now USAS = 2 times ASM in terms of the total value of metal production.
If Americas Silver adds a 1400 tpd copper flotation circuit which according to my calculations = 1 times ASM in terms of the total metal value, then USAS would equal 3 times ASM in terms of total metal production.
Avino produced 9500 ounces of gold equivalent production in Q2 2018, and next quarter Avino will do 10,500 ounces of gold equivalent production as it will be Avino's first quarter running at 2,500 tpd for the entire quarter. I own both stocks, and like Avino because they have a gold mine in addition to a silver mine.
