RE:RE:RE:Last day for dividends, ex div is Aug 24For sure .. Personally my a.c.b. is still about 27.88.
I always was prepared for this to be a bumpy road. But I'm sure that for many, it's the yield and diverse business operations which have kept us with some skin in the game.
Dividends are priority (at least for me). Sure, I expect that somewhere along the line having some capital appreciation would be nice but to help avoid hair loss in my 20s, a total return picture must be in the equation.
When the price goes lower on a stock such as altagas, more drip shares can be acquired. Even if you're frustrated in the decreasing stock price: your army of loonie-toonies are working for ya. It pays to be patient - literally.
I'm not criticizing or saying that my way is best. All that I'm trying to do is display what goes into my thoughts. If it helps you, then yay. If you already know this and it just sounds like rabble, you're entitled to your opinion as well. Just trying to help. @yoda
