Ticats indoor practice facility to be turned into grow op

Ticats indoor practice facility to be turned into grow opInteresting development in Hamilton and grow ops: By Carmela Fragomeni, The Hamilton Spectator The apparent sudden sale of Players Paradise Sports Complex in Hamilton has sent soccer players and tenants including the Tiger-Cats looking for a new indoor facility. The Ticats have used Players Paradise for indoor practices for the last several seasons, particularly in the late fall when the weather is typically cooler and rain, wind and snow can be a factor. But the new owner, a medical cannabis producer, says it is helping the nonprofit groups find another venue for their sport and that it is creating 100 good jobs at the site. Green Relief Inc. in Flamborough has purchased the 100,000-square-foot facility at 565 Seaman St. in Stoney Creek for an undisclosed amount.
