Misbrandt,  I would say your theory has a much higher accuracy than the other poster who it appears is more concerned with injecting FUD (fear-uncertainty and doubt) into the equation.... We know that Amphenol and Foxconn are 2 of the major (6 total was stated in PR i believe) suppliers.  

Now why would be in the largest 6 suppliers in the tech world if our cables had not been approved/certified and ready for sale.... hmmm....  let's connect some dots here.
