These banners include Saks Fifth Avenue, Hudson's Bay, Lord & Taylor, and Off 5th in North America and Galeria Kaufhof, Galeria Inno, and Sportarena in Europe. HBC also has investments in real estate joint ventures. In Canada, it has partnered with RioCan Real Estate Investment Trust in the RioCan-HBC joint venture.

RE:News: Banks reportedly agree to merger of HBC and KarstadtSomewhat surprising that the market has barely reacted to this news, perhaps just weary of the drawn-out saga and looking for concrete confirmation.

Personally, I would have preferred HBC to cut and run entirely rather than a merger/JV situation, but I guess anything is better than nothing.  If we can get the SP up to $15/16 I am ready to bow out with a modest profit.
