RE:I posted the below on this board on march 3, 2018 The hardest lesson for me to learn in the markets has been to take losses early while they are still small. I really struggled with this as you just always want to hope that they come back. Because of course sometimes they do. But not often enough, and when they do the timeframe is usually way too long. My tuition for learning this lesson easily cost me six figures over the 3 decades I've been investing. So my heart goes out to any of you sitting on big loss here, because i have been there many times and it ain't easy. Hope it comes back for you.
^This. I feel you. Also happened to me during my first few years of investing. Had a 75% loss before deciding to sell and call it quits. That is my tuition fee. This 75% was big, I just graduated back then with no job. Luckily I have work now and was able to earn back that loss.. I know the feeling. I strived after that, read books, watch videos, etc. I still go to forums like this and sometimes look at analyst recco's but mostly do my own analysis and look at what the market is telling me. I almost bought this 3weeks ago for a quick play but luckily my prudence had saved me. Still looking for a quick play but very risky right now if not timed right.
