RE:RECREATIONAL VS. MEDICINAL

RE:RECREATIONAL VS. MEDICINAL
blobboy wrote: So I`ve been giving this a lot of thought ...anyone else care to wade in. Will recreational availability make a dent if not out right choke off medicinal demands...I mean who`s going to go to a doctors office and sit for 1/2 hour to get a prescription or renewal when he / she can simply go to the neighborhood recreational supplier who will have not only a better understanding of their product line but more product to choose from. Is any health plan going to cover the cost of a bag of dope if you have a prescription - hell no, Most of the guys I know who are chronic users get a scrip for their stash - I think that will all change when you can get it legally, especially with access to more brands. Jay Wilgars approach to leaving the medicinal market to others while he concentrates on brand building and recreational use , I think...shows great fore sight. Medicinal use for the average joe ( who will be the biggest consumer ) will certainly wane once Oct 17. arrives. This in itself positions HIP at the head of the pack.

If you're talking strictly about medicinal as in low THC weed, then yes the rec side should be even or win out. But if you talk about the pharma side of cannabis, then rec will be a tenth the size of the pharma market.
