More business content

More business contentIn yesterday's Star business section , The Star say's that they will be increasing the business coverage by 400 % ! This is by using the Wall Street Journal more . Great , and another idea --- how about having a financial firm recommend a stock everyday and a summary as to why . Something similar to BNN market call but maybe better . All this may put them in the same league as the "Globe and Mail " . Next , the sports section . It currently is miles behind the " Toronto Sun " . I mentioned before of teaming up with Sports Illustrated . They also need more coverage on U.S. college football , which is huge , all within 400 miles of Toronto . Check the attendance figures at Ohio State and Michigan State games . Some high schools draw better than the Argo's . Next , put the Thoroughbred entries and results BACK in the paper . They were in the paper for probably 100 years and then nothing . There are probably a good 50,000 horse fans in the province . I have to get The " Toronto Sun " or go online to get this info and I don't like it . Lastly , Hire Richard Deitch who is partnered with Bob McCowan on the afternoon radio and TV sports show . ( supposedly the most watched in Canada ) He now lives in Toronto , worked for 20 years for Sports Illustrated and is very knowledgeable about the U.S. Sports scene . That's for starters . I'm sure that other readers have many more ideas . If the paper becomes a must read , then the advertisers and more subscribers will come back and the LOUSY STOCK PERFORMANCE will improve . Just some thoughts from a broken down old salesman .
