The Post's Vanmala Subramaniam writes that a number of licensed producers told the Post the government-mandated excise stamps have thrown a wrench into an already complicated process. The stamps arrived late, they did not fit producers' package sizes and they had to be manually glued on in a way that seals the package, but also "does not interfere with the stamp's security features," or "obstruct any information" on the package, according to the Canada Revenue Agency. Newstrike Resources chief executive officer Jay Wilgar says, "We got in a whole bunch of stamps, but then we realized that it didn't fit on our cannabis packages, so we couldn't use those and then had to reorder more of a different size." According to Mr. Wilgar, the stamps arrived much later than expected, and his staff had to work overnight in order to meet a deadline for their first shipment to the Ontario Cannabis Store. He says, "It's the single biggest factor that slowed us down."

Government intervention will always slow the process, sticking with this whole stamp agenda it has also been rumored that Fed`s are looking at ways to enter the lucrative contraception business. They expect to pass legislation in the coming weeks about introducing a new form of cost effective contraception. Simply put - a single postage stamp - lick it , stick it on the end of your pecker and it`s guaranteed not to come for 3 weeks. Just goes to show - less government is best.
