RE:Baytex Upgraded at RBCWhat does an upgrade do in the current oil market? It creates a false sense of hope in enough amateurs to create a short-term pop in the stock thereby allowing RBC (or whoever the analyst is) to sell more of their (or their clients) positions. Over and over this this has happened and continues to happen and the sheep keep getting sucked in. Fundamentals, book value, P/E, mean nothing. The world is slowly shifting away from fossil fuels and this mass psychology related to this will keep a lid on the world oil markets. I'm not short or long; I took losses in CPG and BTE, I just see the forest through the trees.
