RE:RE:RE:RE:BC Tender

RE:RE:RE:RE:BC TenderIt is my understanding that TSO3 has sold two units to VGH at this time and the company is in contact with a host of potential other customers covered by this tender in all of Canada's western provinces. The tender was for just one low temperature sterilizer at VGH, but they bought two. It is also my understanding that 2 of the 3 other competitors considered were also very aggressive in their price, knowing probably that TSO3 was also going to be very competitive and had more 'room' given their low capital cost per unit taken back from Getinge. TSO3 however won the first sales in this non-exclusive process BECAUSE THEY DEMONSTRATED SUPERIOR CLINICAL PERFORMANCE to the competition as well as competitive pricing (still very profitable to TSO3). The VP4 is more cost efficient AND they can sterilize important scopes, including duodenoscopes, colonoscopes, etc., that the competition cannot sterilize. Why BC Bid has decided to decline to put out a press release announcing these initial sales to TSO3 is their own decision. It is also my understanding that TSO3's sales people are now in contact with virtually every hospital covered by the tender throughout all of BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba that might be interested now or in the coming years under the tender in acquiring a new or replacement low temperature sterilizer at the tender price and with the same tender service contract that VGH was able to take advantage of. As the tender was non-exclusive, Steris and ASP can also submit information and quotes to hospitals; but, having made the first two sales under the tender because they are clinically superior and at a competitive price, TSO3 is in the driver's seat for more sales continuing to beat the competition. There are good reasons VGH went with the VP4 instead of the larger competing company's products, and VGH and TSO3's sales and marketing people will be only too happy to demonstrate these reasons.
