Torstar StaffLot's of advertising in the paper yesterday . Hopefully things are turning around . Let's not discuss " Challenging " anymore . That's a broken record . Just fix it ! One thing I never liked even when I was working was when companies hired a significant number of good new staff members and then when things turned a little soft , they laid then off .(Somehow I always dodged the bullet ) . Torstar laid off 13 of their staff this past week because of poor management decisions . I would have been inclined to keep the good workers and blend them into the company as older workers retire or move to other outside opportunities . How can you gain loyalty when you don't show any ?
