RE:Sprott will save RCG!

RE:Sprott will save RCG!With respect to Greg Gibson - I was told that he informed RCG that he was being told he needed to remove himself from the board. Damian is right, Gibson is on many boards and so far only seems to be stepping down from RCG. I see 2 potential reasons for that:
  • RCG is generating rather negative press and they may not have wanted him to remain on their board and be associated with RCG at the same time, so it was RCG or the other, but not both.
  • There is a potential conflict of interest with regards to a merger / acquisition deal. This could be related to a new property RCG hopes to use to leverage a new financing or it could be a deal related to RCG being the merger or acquisition target itself.
There is also the possibility that Gibson didn't really get asked to step down and that this was a smoke screen for something else. The reality is, we don't really know what the truth is.

Salut,
Leigh McBain
