Aphria Inc. APHA

Aphria, which is headquartered in Ontario, produces and sells medicinal and recreational cannabis. The company operates through retail and wholesale channels in Canada and internationally. Aphria is a main distributor of medical cannabis to Germany and has operations in over 10 countries outside of Canada. However, it does not have exposure to the U.S. CBD or THC markets due to the constraints of federal prohibition. It has some U.S. exposure through the acquisition of SweetWater, a craft brewer

Atheena

AtheenaJesus:  I am not entirely sure what your motives are.  I agree Atheena was overly positive last Fall, but this was not fraudulent.  This individual invested everything, and margin on top, in this belief.  Like me, the only thing we are guilty of is believing in APHA.  I suggest laying off, unless you intend on launching a class action suit against someone posting their strong beliefs in an anonymous Stockhouse blog.

I did it.  On Friday I bought 25000 shares at 8.  I thought I hit the mother load when that bizarre spike to 8.75 happened...only to watch in yet another episode of “You’ve Gotta be Kidding” as it went to the sixes.

Of all the posts the last 24 hours, the only tangible ones relate to The Windsor Star article.  I sincerely hope LHS comes out swinging on Monday, followed the the Citron report they Tweeted was on the way.  Neufeld better deliver on Weds.  That’s all there is tangible.  I don’t know what to think about the Deageo posts...the reason being I discounted the Altria/Cronos rumours on Monday as we had all heard enough these last two months about rumoured deals.  Then Bam!  I am shocked by what was paid.  Had to be a bidding war.

Aphria has one chance to bail itself out...on Wednesday.  Best case is Neufeld is not guilty, just ineptitude.  Either way he needs to go; there needs to be someone to take the fall and the buck stops with the CEO.  Time for Ripstein to take the helm and perhaps do a deal.

I am sitting here watching the snow fall and trying to make sense of what the heck happened last week...beginning with that 179 page slideshow.  Far too much intrigue for this time of year and this time of my life.  Sometimes you gotta roll a hard six and I have bet on Aphria clearing its name.  In order to do this they have to clean out the C suite.  Unless they can prove beyond any doubt that Vic Neufeld is both not guilty and has been handling this appropriately, then they announce his resignation as part of their better days ahead release on Weds.
