It doesn't matter what the FED does or doesn't do...it's way way too late. They system of money as debt has always been untenable and now we pay the price.  There's only so much fake money/credit for mindless consumption of finite resources the pattern seeking primates can bear and now we've reached the limits of that insanity.  Cut, raise, sit on their hands...makes no difference now as we're in the end game. Gold will soar, the smart people will convert that into real goods...food, ammo, water, a concrete bunker while the masses go full Mad Max and destroy everything.  cheers
