Cominar Real Estate Investment Trust Unit T.CUF.UN

Primary Symbol: CMLEF

Cominar Real Estate Investment Trust is a Canadian REIT involved in the ownership and management of properties throughout the Canadian provinces. Cominar's real estate portfolio comprises a mix of office, retail, and industrial and mixed-use properties. While industrial and mixed-use assets are the most numerous and command the most square footage in the company's portfolio, office and retail locations combined represent the vast majority of the portfolio's total value. Most of Cominar's properties are located in the Greater Quebec City and Montreal areas. The company derives nearly all of its revenue from rental income from its investment properties. The source of this revenue is largely split between Cominar's office and retail locations.

RE:RE:I don’t know why there’s so much hate for this...Timing is everything in investing isn’t it?

Sure there’s lots of large loss areas, and you yourself must have made a poor choice of timing to take big losses...

But if you bought it at its highest point in Feb 2007 you paid 25.70 and have received 18.61 in dividends and have basically gained 19.7% on your investment today, and hopefully you used your dividends for more gains over the years... it’s not a great return considering it’s about 1.6% a year, but still a win...

If you bought at its 2nd highest point in Aug 2008 you paid 23.00 and have received 14.24 in dividends and have gained 14.8% again not great return of 1.4% a year...

But, you have been bashing the stock for awhile now... if you went against your hate and purchased on the high of Dec 24th of 11.15, you would have given yourself a 9.5% gain in less than a month... and I’m sure if you were smart enough to make that purchase your dislike for this stock would be much different... but obviously your too busy remembering your poor decisions and taking losses, than being intelligent and looking for opportunities to make gains...

Good investors don’t get emotional with thier decisions, obviously that’s something you need to work on to be successful!
