I disagree to your reply Mayor. I track 26 cities. EIA went to 5 from the 3 regions for reporting but years before this I maintained 4 specific regions for production and pipeline / storage distribution.

One can utilize forecats and actual temps which effect trader decisions on forward NG spot price projections. Calls and puts reflect where each may see direction trend, not placed after the fact.

NG Trading is volatile at times, decisions must be balanced by a view to imminent or short term weather, demand, production, current storage and the running total of prior weeks. Very important is to look at trading roll over dates verses month NG contract expiration as we approach these during the month.

LNG shipments and increased delivery to Mexico was non existent 6 years ago but a factor now.

K23 used warmer weather and production capability to his advantage in Dec and very recent D trade following a D collapse. Congrats to him, a good contributor. I am sure he was as surprised, as I was, how big a drop came on Dgaz from a $131 high down $57.

you never saw it coming, I did and it was a big vationation of temps from the running regions totals in 3 key demographic areas. It was not in disapproval I pointed out to K23 the big variation in day hi / low overnight temps that would arrive very quickly. 

I am on K23 side on observations of continued expansion of production via new pipeline systems which come on line. K23 and all others should know we can have production disruptions hurricanes, maintenance shutdowns.

As we see today Wednesday Jan 23, overnights were forecast lower and UGAZ NG spot rebounds. I expect that will drop before report release. 

I will I’ll continue to watch weather and other data which is required to best take U and D trades.

Still enjoy Mayor posts, but respect Mayor the fact all traders do not follow each other as to micro day trading you often do or a very short term trade you may do or I may do. Nor should traders decisions be based on approaching 2:30 each day as you mention often but agree important time to consider.

So, did you find out that trading based on absolute temperature variations doesn't pay?
